Resumen:
The parameterization method is a functional analytic framework for studying invariant manifolds in dynamical systems theory. Several features of the method are that it leads to efficient numerical methods, that it provides a natural setting for a-posteriori analysis, that the method can follow folds in the embedding of the manifold, and that it recovers the dynamics on the manifold in addition to the embedding. I will provide a general overview of the method and then discuss some recent applications to partial differential equations and delay differential equations.
